Midwives

I love midwifery care as an option for women with low risk pregnancies. A midwife specializes in childbirth, and provides care for your entire pregnancy whether you chose to deliver at home or in the hospital. The reason I love midwifery care is the quality of care you receive. You don’t have to wait for appointments, your visits are between 30 and 45 minutes. They come to you in active labour and stay with you until a few hours after the birth. After your baby is born your midwife will come to your house for follow up visits three to five times in the first two weeks. Midwifery care is covered by OHIP, and they can do all the same testing an OB, or GP would.

EPI-NO Canada - Your Partner in Pelvic Floor Wellness
Kim Vopni
1-888-488-0884 or 905-337-3295
E-mail: info@pelvicfloorwellness.com
Using the EPI-NO is a proven childbirth preparation tool that will help prepare your pelvic floor physically for the demands of carrying a baby, pushing a baby out and restoring tone post partum. It has a biofeedback gauge that not only helps you identify the correct muscles, it lets you see when you contract the muscles, as well as when you relax. Childbirth requires a fine balance between strength and the ability to relax the pelvic floor muscles and the EPI-NO will enable you to develop an awareness of both prior to delivering your baby. It is a wise and wonderful investment in your health as a woman.
